This tool accepts a PDF file and produces a new PDF with certificate signature data removed. A PDF digital signature is not simply a picture of a handwritten name: it is cryptographic information associated with the document. NIST explains that digital signatures can help a reader assess the signer's identity and whether information changed after signing. Once that signature data is removed, the result no longer carries the original signature's verification evidence. The output is an unsigned working copy, not a substitute for the signed source.
PDF 2.0 is specified by ISO 32000-2. The standard concerns how PDF documents are represented; it does not mean every signature-looking item on a page is a certificate signature. This service targets certificate signature data rather than editing arbitrary page artwork.

Select a PDF you are authorized to process. The upload accepts PDF files and has a configured maximum size of 2.5 MiB. Keep your original signed file separately before continuing.
Submit the selected file for processing. There are no signer, certificate, password, signature-location, or output-format fields to complete.
Download the resulting PDF, then open it in a PDF reader. Check the pages and any visible signature marks, and confirm that the file is suitable for the next step in your workflow.
The service returns a new file with “-unsigned” added to the original filename. It does not provide a control for choosing individual signature fields or preserving selected signatures.

No. A scanned signature, drawn mark, stamp, or other page artwork is different from certificate signature data and may remain visible. This tool is not a tool for erasing page images.
That is not guaranteed. The operation creates a new PDF, and the service does not promise unchanged text, images, forms, page count, or layout. Inspect the downloaded file before relying on it.
No selection is offered. The tool provides one PDF input and no field-level or signature-range options, so it does not let you choose individual signatures.
No. The output is not a signature verification report. If you need to assess the source signature, verify the original PDF before processing and retain that source.

Removing certificate signature data removes the original PDF's signature verification evidence. Do not present an unsigned output as the original signed document or as proof of authenticity.
Only process documents you own or are authorized to modify. For contracts, official records, regulated documents, or files subject to a retention or approval process, check with the document owner and recipient before making a derivative. An unsigned file may not be accepted for the purpose the signed original served.
Processing requires submitting the PDF to the service. The file retention and deletion period has not been verified, so do not upload confidential or sensitive documents unless your organization's rules and the relevant parties permit that handling. Preserve the original separately, and do not infer privacy or deletion guarantees from a completed download.
Removing a certificate signature is different from redacting or deleting visible content. It does not authorize edits, establish that a signer consented to a change, or certify that the new file is complete. Compare the output with the original and label it clearly as an unsigned derivative.
