Tool Introduction

The PDF Multi-page Layout tool aims to help users intelligently arrange multiple PDF pages onto a single physical page for more efficient printing, reading, or paper saving. Users can customize the number of PDF pages displayed on each sheet (e.g., 2 pages, 4 pages) and choose whether to add borders to each page to ensure content is clear and visible. Whether for creating handouts, printing slides, or simply saving paper, this tool provides a convenient solution.

How to Use

  1. Upload PDF File: Click the "Upload PDF" area and select the single PDF file you need to arrange in a multi-page layout. Please note that the file size cannot exceed 20MB.
  2. Set Pages Per Sheet: In the "Pages per sheet" input box, enter the number of original PDF pages you want to include on each output sheet, for example, "2" for two pages side-by-side, "4" for a four-page grid layout. The default value is 2.
  3. Choose Whether to Add Border: If you want to add a border to each original PDF page for differentiation, check the "Add border" checkbox.
  4. Start Conversion: After confirming all settings, click the "Convert" button.
  5. Download Results: After conversion is complete, the results list will display the original file information and the new converted PDF file. Click the "Download" icon to get your multi-page layout PDF.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q: What file formats does this tool support as input?
  • A: Currently, it only supports uploading a single PDF file for multi-page layout.
  • Q: What format will the converted file be in?
  • A: The converted file will still be in PDF format.
  • Q: Are there any restrictions on PDF file size or number of pages?
  • A: The maximum limit for a single uploaded PDF file is 20MB. The tool itself does not have specific restrictions on the original number of pages in a PDF, but the larger the file or the more pages, the longer the conversion time may be.
  • Q: Why is my page layout unclear after conversion?
  • A: When the "Pages per sheet" setting is large (e.g., 6 or 8 pages), the original pages will be significantly scaled down to fit on one sheet, which may make the content difficult to read. It is recommended to set the "Pages per sheet" parameter reasonably based on the original PDF content density and your needs.

Notes

  • Please ensure you upload files in PDF format; other formats are not currently supported.
  • The single uploaded file size limit is 20MB; files exceeding this limit cannot be processed.
  • The "Pages per sheet" parameter directly affects the output effect; please choose an appropriate value based on your actual needs (e.g., printing handouts, previewing documents).
  • Checking "Add border" can better visually distinguish the content of each page, but it will also take up a little space.
  • During the conversion process, please keep the page open and wait for the conversion to complete. If the conversion fails, please check your network connection or try re-uploading the file.
