Overview
Understand what the tool solves, how it works, and the boundaries of its data.
This worksheet maker takes Chinese text that you supply or edit and lays its characters out in writing grids. It is designed for passage practice: characters flow from left to right and continue onto additional pages as needed. It does not translate text, explain vocabulary, animate stroke order, or score handwriting.
Choose a grid style, paper size, orientation, character cell size and spacing, then preview and generate a printable result. You can keep or remove punctuation. Whitespace is removed from the flowing character sequence, so spaces and line breaks do not create blank writing cells. If punctuation is enabled, supported punctuation marks remain in the sequence and occupy cells like other characters.
Available paper sizes include A4, A5, Letter, and B5, with portrait or landscape orientation. Letter is a familiar starting point for US printers; choose a different size only when your printer or class materials use it. The selected paper and orientation determine the printable area and how many characters fit on a page. Changing the cell size, margin, or spacing can change pagination.
The worksheet includes several preset passages as a starting point, plus a custom option for your own material. A title and optional header fields can identify the exercise. The guide character opacity and line colors help distinguish model characters from blank practice cells. Select the grid that suits the task rather than assuming the page teaches a particular stroke sequence.
Before exporting, inspect page breaks and make sure each page has enough room for writing. The generated layout can be prepared as PDF, PNG, or Word-compatible output, and can also be sent to print. These are printable practice sheets: students still need a suitable reference for correct character forms and stroke order.
Guide
Follow the workflow and verify inputs and outputs with practical examples.
Select one of the included passage presets or choose the custom option and edit the text. Review every character, punctuation mark, and line before continuing; the generator reproduces the supplied content rather than checking its Chinese.
Choose a grid type, paper size and orientation. Adjust cell size, spacing, margins, guide visibility, and whether punctuation should be retained. Smaller cells and tighter spacing generally fit more characters on each page.
Set a worksheet title and optionally show the header area with fields such as student name, class, date, and score. Leave unnecessary fields blank or hide the header.
Generate the preview, check pagination and readability, then download a PDF or PNG, export a Word-compatible document, or print. If the page looks crowded, increase the cell size or change orientation and regenerate.
Use a short passage for copying fluency or a small set of target sentences for focused repetition. For new characters, pair the sheet with a trusted textbook or instructor’s model so learners can confirm stroke order and form before practicing.
Use cases
See how the tool fits into real work and everyday tasks.
A teacher can paste a lesson passage, retain punctuation, add a class header, and print pages for students to copy by hand.
A learner can choose a short custom excerpt, enlarge the cells, and use the exported pages for repeated character practice.
Choose Letter paper for a typical US printer, preview the page count, and export a PDF or print copy for an at-home assignment.
Q&A
Find concise answers to common questions and confusing cases.
No. It lays out the text you enter. Check wording and character forms before generating the final worksheet.
Whitespace is removed before characters flow through the grid. It does not reserve blank cells for word spacing or paragraph breaks.
This tool generates practice sheets from the supplied text. It does not translate, animate stroke order, or grade a learner’s writing.
Try a smaller cell size, narrower margins, tighter spacing, or landscape orientation, then inspect the new page breaks. The available printable area also depends on the selected paper size.
