Overview
Understand what the tool solves, how it works, and the boundaries of its data.
This worksheet maker lays out ten fixed stroke illustrations: five basic shapes (horizontal, vertical, left-falling, right-falling, and dot) and five additional shapes (rising, horizontal-turn, vertical-hook, horizontal-turn-hook, and vertical-curve). Choose the basic set, the additional set, or all ten. Each selected shape appears on its own row. This is practice for isolated stroke forms; it does not take a Chinese character as input, build a character from strokes, or show the stroke order of a whole character.
Rows can move from a dark example to pale tracing cells and then blank cells. Example, tracing, and practice columns are independently adjustable. For instance, 2 example + 3 tracing + 5 practice columns gives each row ten cells in that sequence. Setting tracing columns to zero skips tracing; setting practice columns to zero leaves only the example and any tracing cells.
Choose a grid style such as Tianzi, Mizi, nine-palace, Huigong, Mizi-Huigong, square, or no grid. These names identify visual layouts; they do not certify a particular curriculum or regional writing standard. Paper choices are A4, A5, B5, and US Letter, with portrait or landscape orientation. Cell size and margins use millimeters, including when Letter is selected.
The preview reports the number of stroke rows, cells per row, and pages. The selected strokes are flowed onto pages according to paper dimensions, orientation, margin, cell size, and header space. Changing these settings can change the page count. The number of columns changes the row layout, while the preview metrics show the total cells per row.
Guide
Follow the workflow and verify inputs and outputs with practical examples.
Select the basic group, additional group, or all ten strokes. The preview updates to show the selected rows.
Edit the worksheet title and, if useful, enable the header for name, class, date, or score. The default title and header field labels are Chinese; change the title and edit the field labels before generating an English-facing handout. Values can be left blank or filled in.
Choose a grid, paper size, and orientation. Adjust cell size, page margin, and the example, tracing, and practice column counts. The available column ranges are 1–4 example cells, 0–6 tracing cells, and 0–10 practice cells.
Set grid, guide, and stroke colors if needed, then inspect the preview and page count. A useful starting layout is 2 example, 3 tracing, and 5 blank practice cells per row; choose fewer cells or larger cells when learners need more writing room.
Click Generate to prepare the clean output. Then download a PNG, export a PDF or Word document, or use Print in the web page. Check the resulting page size and printer scaling before making copies.
Example: select the five basic strokes, keep 2 example, 3 tracing, and 5 blank cells, and choose US Letter portrait. Review the page count and row spacing, then generate and export the worksheet.
Use cases
See how the tool fits into real work and everyday tasks.
A learner working on basic line shapes can select the basic set and use a few tracing cells followed by blank cells. The repeated row makes it easy to move from looking at the sample to trying the shape independently.
An instructor can choose the additional set for a focused session, add a class or date field, and export a PDF. Review the title and header labels because their defaults are Chinese, and check the preview before printing for the group.
Make one sheet with tracing cells and another with more blank cells. Learners can use the first to follow the fixed example shape and the second to practice without a pale guide beside every attempt.
Q&A
Find concise answers to common questions and confusing cases.
No. The sheet contains preset isolated stroke illustrations only. It does not accept arbitrary Hanzi, produce character-specific stroke sequences, or animate writing order.
Rows are fitted to the selected page dimensions and margins, with room reserved for the title or header. A different orientation, larger cells, or changed margin may leave room for fewer rows on each page. Check the preview page count after adjusting settings.
The default title and the name, class, date, and score field labels begin in Chinese. The title and field labels are editable, so replace them before generating an English handout. Stroke names and most form controls have English labels.
Generate the sheet first. The clean PNG, PDF, Word, and web print actions are enabled after generation; printing is not shown in the mini-program surface.
No. They are fixed practice illustrations of single-stroke shapes, not a standards-backed stroke library or guidance for the order of strokes in any particular character. Follow the relevant course materials when teaching a specific writing convention.
Notes
Review scope, result limitations, and important precautions before use.
The stroke drawings are simplified, fixed examples for arranging a practice page. They do not represent every handwritten form, character-specific proportion, or regional teaching convention. A row can help someone repeat a shape, but it cannot establish the correct stroke sequence for a word or character. For character writing, use the learner’s applicable textbook or an appropriate reference.
Before printing, inspect the generated file and confirm the printer’s paper size, orientation, and scaling. Printer settings can resize the page and alter the apparent cell dimensions. The worksheet title and optional header labels start in Chinese; edit them when preparing an English handout.
