Tool Introduction

"Image to PDF" is an efficient and convenient online tool designed to help users quickly convert various image files into PDF documents. It supports batch uploading of multiple common image formats such as JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, WEBP, TIFF, and provides flexible PDF page adaptation methods and color mode selections, allowing your image content to be perfectly presented in PDF.

Core features include:

  • Multi-format image support: Compatible with mainstream image formats to meet different conversion needs.
  • Batch upload and merge: Upload up to 10 images at once, automatically merging them into a single PDF file, improving efficiency.
  • Image adaptation options: Provides "Fill Page", "Fit Document to Image", and "Maintain Aspect Ratio" modes to ensure perfect image layout in PDF without stretching or distortion.
  • Diverse color modes: Choose "Color", "Grayscale", or "Black and White" to output PDF, adapting to different scenario requirements.
  • Automatic rotation function: Intelligently identifies and adjusts image orientation, saving the trouble of manual operation.
  • File size limit: A single image supports a maximum of 20MB, ensuring smooth conversion.

How to Use

  1. Upload Images: Click the "Upload Images" area on the tool page, or directly drag your image files (JPG, PNG, GIF, etc.) here. This tool supports batch uploading, with a maximum of 10 images, and each image size is limited to 20MB.
  2. Select Image Adaptation to PDF Method: According to your layout needs, select the appropriate adaptation mode from the dropdown menu:
    • Fill Page: The image will be scaled proportionally to fill the PDF page as much as possible, possibly leaving a small white border, but maintaining page neatness.
    • Fit Document to Image: The PDF page will be generated according to the original size of the image, suitable for users who need to maintain the original pixel dimensions of the image.
    • Maintain Aspect Ratio: The image will be scaled proportionally and displayed completely on the PDF page, which may result in larger white borders.
  3. Select PDF Color Mode: Choose the PDF color type according to your output requirements:
    • Color: Retains the original color information of the image.
    • Grayscale: Converts the image to a black and white gradient effect.
    • Black and White: Retains only black and white binary, which may lose image details, suitable for pure text or simple black and white images.
  4. Check Auto-rotate PDF (optional): If the orientation of your images is uncertain, you can check this option, and the tool will try to automatically adjust the image orientation to fit the PDF page.
  5. Click the "Convert" button: After setting up, click the blue "Convert" button, and the tool will start processing your images.
  6. Download Results: After the conversion is complete, you will see the download link for the generated PDF file in the results list.

Usage Example

Suppose you have three travel photos (`travel_pic1.jpg`, `travel_pic2.png`, `travel_pic3.jpeg`) and you want to merge them into a single color PDF document, with each image clearly filling the PDF page.

  • Example Input Data:
    • File Upload: `travel_pic1.jpg` (8MB), `travel_pic2.png` (6MB), `travel_pic3.jpeg` (10MB)
    • Image Adaptation to PDF Method: Fill Page (maintain aspect ratio, no stretching or distortion)
    • PDF Color Mode: Color (retain original image colors)
    • Auto-rotate PDF: Unchecked
  • Specific Operation Demonstration:
    1. Visit the "Image to PDF" online tool page.
    2. Drag and drop the three image files `travel_pic1.jpg`, `travel_pic2.png`, and `travel_pic3.jpeg` into the "Upload Images" area.
    3. In the "Image Adaptation to PDF Method" dropdown menu, select "Fill Page".
    4. In the "PDF Color Mode" dropdown menu, select "Color".
    5. Ensure "Auto-rotate PDF" is unchecked.
    6. Click the "Convert" button at the bottom of the page.
    7. Wait for the conversion process to complete.
  • Expected Output Result:

After conversion, you will get a PDF file named `output.pdf` (or similar), which contains three pages, each corresponding to an uploaded image. The images will fill the page while maintaining their aspect ratio and retaining their original colors. The results list will show the following:

File Name File Size Converted File
    travel_pic1.jpg 8MB output.pdf
    travel_pic2.png 6MB --
    travel_pic3.jpeg 10MB --

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q: What image formats does this tool support for conversion? A: This tool supports converting various mainstream image formats such as JPG, JPEG, PNG, TIFF, BMP, GIF, and WEBP to PDF.
  • Q: If I upload multiple images in a batch, how many PDF files will be generated? A: Multiple images uploaded in a batch (up to 10) will be automatically merged into one PDF file, with each image corresponding to one page in the PDF.
  • Q: Is there a size limit for uploaded images? A: Yes, the maximum upload size for a single image is 20MB. If your image exceeds this limit, it is recommended to compress it before uploading.

Choosing "Fill Page" or "Fit Document to Image" usually provides a better visual experience.

Notes

  • For best conversion results, please ensure that the uploaded images are clear and have appropriate resolution. Images with too low resolution may appear blurry in the PDF.
  • When you select "Fit Document to Image" as the adaptation method, if the uploaded image sizes vary greatly, the generated PDF page sizes will also differ, which may lead to an inconsistent reading experience.
  • When choosing the "Black and White" color mode, please note that it converts the image to pure black and white binary, losing a large amount of color and grayscale details, and is not suitable for all image types.
  • If your images contain important text information, it is recommended to prioritize "Color" or "Grayscale" mode to retain more details.
  • After conversion, please download your PDF file promptly to prevent loss of results due to page refresh or closing.
