Calculate notice deposit interest and total amount effortlessly, supporting 1-day and 7-day notice terms.
1-day notice requires 1 day advance notice for withdrawal; 7-day notice requires 7 days. 7-day notice typically offers a higher interest rate.
The actual number of days your principal will be deposited. If fewer than the minimum notice days, interest will be calculated at the demand deposit rate.
The bank's advertised annual interest rate for call deposits. E.g., enter 1.15 for 1.15% for a 7-day notice.
This rate applies if the deposit period is less than the minimum notice days. E.g., enter 0.1 for 0.1%.
Please enter the principal, deposit days, notice type, and annual interest rate to estimate your call deposit interest.
Open our Call Deposit Calculator, and you will see four input fields and a dropdown menu. Follow these steps:
If you want to change the numbers, simply update the input fields and click "Calculate" again.
Scenario: You deposit 50,000 into a 7-day call deposit account with a posted annual interest rate of 1.35%, and you plan to leave it there for 45 days. Let's calculate the interest at maturity.
Formula: Interest = Principal × Annual Interest Rate × Deposit Days / 365
Plugging in the numbers: 50000 × 0.0135 × 45 ÷ 365 ≈ 83.22
Total (Principal + Interest) = 50000 + 83.22 = 50083.22
In the calculator: Enter 50000 for the deposit amount, select "7-Day Call Deposit" for the notice period, enter 1.35 for the annual interest rate, and 45 for the deposit days. Click calculate. You will see the interest displayed as approximately 83.22. If the rate or days change, the results will update accordingly.
The calculator displays two numbers: Interest and Total (Principal + Interest).
Note: In reality, banks may apply standard savings rates for early withdrawals or failure to provide advance notice. Therefore, the calculator's results represent the ideal scenario of a "normal withdrawal at maturity."
