In daily transactions, it is often necessary to distinguish between VAT-inclusive and VAT-exclusive prices, and manual conversion is prone to errors. This tool provides smart price and tax calculations. Simply enter the amount and tax rate to simultaneously calculate the exclusive price, inclusive price, and VAT amount. It is based on the standard formula "Inclusive Price = Exclusive Price × (1 + Tax Rate)" and supports both forward and reverse calculations.
The tax rate should be entered as a percentage number (e.g., for 13%, enter "13" instead of "0.13"). Calculated amounts are rounded to two decimal places and may have slight rounding differences compared to actual issued invoices. This tool is for quick estimation purposes only and cannot replace professional tax software or consultation. Input amounts must be non-negative; abnormal values cannot be calculated. No data is saved during use, ensuring your privacy and security.
In VAT calculations, if the inclusive price and tax rate are known, the formula for the exclusive price is "Exclusive Price = Inclusive Price ÷ (1 + Tax Rate %)", and the Tax Amount = Inclusive Price - Exclusive Price. In actual business operations, it is necessary to distinguish between output VAT and input VAT; this tool only performs single-item price and tax conversions. When businesses process multiple transactions, we recommend using Excel to improve efficiency. Common example: If a product's exclusive sales price is $200 and the tax rate is 13%, the output VAT amount is $26, making the inclusive sales price $226.
