Image, HEIC, HEIF (Supported formats: .heic, .heif)
Max 1 MB • Max 5 files
iPhones save photos as HEIC by default, which may not work on Android devices, WeChat, or some browsers. Conversion happens locally in your browser, and files are never uploaded. Maximum file size: 20 MB.
Overview
Understand what the tool solves, how it works, and the boundaries of its data.
Select one or more HEIC/HEIF image files and the page converts each to a downloadable JPG copy. Files are added to a queue and converted one at a time; successful results can be downloaded individually. JPG is widely accepted by image viewers and upload forms, while the conversion creates a new encoded image rather than preserving the original HEIC file as-is.
Re-encoding can change image representation and may not carry every original property through. The conversion uses a fixed quality setting for JPG, offers no quality slider, resize control or metadata option, and when an input contains multiple frames the converter keeps only the first returned image. Keep the original when you need its complete content or source characteristics.
Guide
Follow the workflow and verify inputs and outputs with practical examples.
If a file fails, confirm it is a supported HEIC/HEIF image that can be decoded, then try a fresh copy. Preserve the source file while troubleshooting so the conversion does not become your only copy.
Use cases
See how the tool fits into real work and everyday tasks.
Convert a phone photo when an application accepts JPG but rejects the HEIC original. Confirm any upload size and image requirements on the destination form.
Provide JPG copies for recipients whose software does not open the original format, while retaining the HEIC source for your archive.
Convert selected pictures before placing them in a report, then review the rendered result for orientation and visual changes.
Q&A
Find concise answers to common questions and confusing cases.
Yes. Multiple files can be selected and are converted sequentially. Download each completed JPG from its own result entry.
No such preservation is promised. If decoding returns several images, the converter uses the first one. Check multi-frame originals separately and retain the original file.
No controls for quality, resizing or metadata are shown. The current conversion uses its configured JPG quality value; it does not expose that setting for editing.
Notes
Review scope, result limitations, and important precautions before use.
JPG output is a converted copy and may differ from the source in encoding, metadata, color handling or multi-frame content. This page does not claim complete metadata preservation, lossless conversion or a privacy mode. Do not discard the original until you have checked the output and confirmed it is suitable for the intended use. Avoid submitting sensitive images unless the service’s file-handling terms meet your requirements.
