Unable to view HEIC images taken on your iPhone directly on Windows or other software? This tool converts HEIC/HEIF files into the universally supported PNG format in real-time right in your browser, fully preserving the transparency channel (if present). Built entirely on the frontend using the heic2any library, your files are never uploaded to a server, ensuring a fast and secure conversion process.
Input Format: .heic or .heif files, including photos with transparent layers taken on iPhones.
Output Format: Standard PNG image, maintaining the original dimensions and transparency channel. Example: Upload photo.heic to get photo.png.
Please ensure the uploaded HEIC file is from a reliable source and is not corrupted. The conversion runs entirely locally, but extremely large files (e.g., over 50MB) may cause browser lag; we recommend reducing the file size if possible. For the best compatibility, we recommend using the latest version of Chrome, Edge, or Firefox. If the transparency channel is lost, try refreshing the page and converting again.
HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) is based on HEVC encoding and is commonly used on Apple devices. Converting to PNG provides much broader compatibility. The heic2any library extracts the main image and outputs it as a PNG. If the file contains a depth map or multi-frame burst, only the first frame is converted. If you need to retain transparency while controlling file size, you can further optimize the PNG using an image compression tool afterward.
