Every time you buy or sell a stock, there are easily overlooked transaction fees in addition to the stock price. The Stock Trading Fee Calculator is a tool designed to help investors accurately calculate these "hidden" costs. By entering the transaction price, quantity, and market, it automatically calculates the commission, stamp duty, transfer fees, and other details required for buying or selling. It provides the total transaction fee, making the true cost of every trade crystal clear.
Example: Suppose you buy 1,000 shares of a Shanghai A-share at 10 RMB per share, with a commission rate of 0.025% (2.5 per 10,000). Transaction amount = 10 × 1,000 = 10,000 RMB. Commission = 10,000 × 0.00025 = 2.5 RMB. Since it is less than 5 RMB, the minimum charge of 5 RMB applies. There is no stamp duty on purchases. Shanghai market transfer fee = 10,000 × 0.00002 = 0.2 RMB. Total fee = 5 + 0.2 = 5.2 RMB. The same logic applies when selling, but an additional 0.1% stamp duty (10 RMB) will be charged.
This calculator is designed based on current standard A-share rates. Fees for certain brokers or special products (such as ETFs and convertible bonds) may vary, so the results are for reference only. All calculations are performed locally in your browser, and no trading data is uploaded, ensuring your privacy. If you need to calculate the total cost of multiple trades, you can repeatedly enter the details for different conditions and manually sum them up.
For frequent traders, using this tool to "rehearse" transaction fees before each trade helps accurately assess the break-even point. Typical scenario: The total cost of buying 1,000 shares at 10 RMB is 10,005.2 RMB (including buying fees). If you plan to sell at 10.10 RMB, after deducting selling fees (approx. 10.1 RMB commission + 10.1 RMB stamp duty + 0.2 RMB transfer fee), the net profit is about 100.6 RMB. Developing the habit of calculating fees in advance helps prevent situations where you have "paper profits but actual losses" due to ignored costs.
