Steer the snake, collect food, and avoid walls and obstacles. Choose three difficulty levels and use keyboard, swipe, or touch buttons.
Snake
Guide the snake to fruit, grow longer, and avoid the border, your body, and obstacles.
Overview
Understand what the tool solves, how it works, and the boundaries of its data.
Guide the snake around a 24-column by 18-row board, collect food, and avoid the board edge, obstacles, and the snake's own body. A normal food item adds 1 point; a golden item adds 3. Either type makes the snake one segment longer, which changes how much room remains for the next turn. The game ends when the head hits a boundary, an obstacle, or the snake itself.
The snake cannot reverse directly into the opposite direction. For example, while moving right, a left input is ignored. Plan a turn through an adjacent direction and keep an open route ahead, especially after the snake grows.
Easy has no obstacles, medium places 10 obstacles, and hard places 22. The movement interval is about 170 milliseconds per step on easy, 120 milliseconds on medium, and 82 milliseconds on hard. A shorter interval means the snake advances more often and gives you less time to plan. Changing difficulty initializes a new round and resets the current score.
The board and rules stay focused on a single-player arcade round. Food and obstacle placement vary between rounds. Your best score is kept in this browser on this device, so it is a personal record rather than an online ranking.
Guide
Follow the workflow and verify inputs and outputs with practical examples.
Select easy, medium, or hard. Start with easy if you want to learn the turn timing without obstacles.
Press Start. Use the keyboard arrows or WASD on a computer. On a touch screen, swipe across the board or use the on-screen direction buttons.
Press the space bar or the pause control. Resume when ready. Direction inputs that would make an immediate 180-degree reversal are ignored.
Choose restart to create a new round and clear the current score. Changing difficulty also starts a fresh layout.
Look beyond the next food item. Before entering a narrow lane, consider where the head can turn after the body lengthens. A golden item is worth more points, but it still adds one segment; take it only if the route back out remains open.
Use cases
See how the tool fits into real work and everyday tasks.
Play on easy to learn the movement rhythm and practice turning without reversing. Focus on leaving room for the next turn rather than chasing every food item.
Use medium or hard to add obstacles and quicker movement. After a collision, review the last turn and try a route that preserves a wider exit.
Q&A
Find concise answers to common questions and confusing cases.
The game rejects a direct 180-degree reversal. Turn through a perpendicular direction instead of pointing straight back into the body.
No. Selecting another difficulty starts a fresh board and resets the round's score.
It adds 3 points, compared with 1 point for normal food. Both make the snake grow by one segment.
Notes
Review scope, result limitations, and important precautions before use.
Food and obstacle positions vary from round to round, so a route that worked once may not work in the next layout. The best score is stored locally in the browser; clearing site data or switching browsers or devices can remove or separate that record. The game does not provide multiplayer or a verified shared leaderboard.
