Quickly calculate your sick leave pay and payout percentage based on your years of service and monthly salary.
Typically the salary agreed in your employment contract. Cannot be lower than the local minimum wage.
Figuring out exactly how much an employee should be paid during sick leave can be a headache due to complex factors like years of service, base salary, and payout percentages. Based on general labor law rules, the Sick Leave Pay Calculator automatically calculates the payable sick leave wage, daily amount, and payout percentage once you input the monthly salary, sick leave days, and continuous years of service. It also alerts you if the amount hits the minimum wage protection threshold, helping HR professionals and employees quickly verify compensation rights.
Please enter the pre-tax payable amount for the monthly salary. Sick leave days should be calculated based on actual working days (not calendar days). Different regions may have varying regulations regarding the calculation base, percentages, and caps. This tool uses general rules, and the calculation results are for reference only. For actual payouts, please refer to local policies and company regulations. All calculations are performed locally on your device; no data is uploaded, ensuring your privacy and security. If the minimum wage standard is left blank, the system defaults to 2000 as a verification reference. Please adjust this according to your city.
Common errors in HR sick leave pay calculations often stem from daily wage conversion and percentage selection. It is recommended to consistently use 21.75 days as the monthly payable days and strictly match the seniority range to the percentage. For example, with a monthly salary of 10,000, 5 years of service (80% payout), and 3 sick days: Daily wage = 10,000 ÷ 21.75 ≈ 459.77, Sick leave pay = 459.77 × 80% × 3 ≈ 1103.45. If the local minimum wage is 2,320, the minimum daily protection = 2,320 × 80% ÷ 21.75 ≈ 85.33, making the 3-day minimum protection 256.00. Since this is much lower than the calculated result, the final payout is 1103.45. Using this calculator helps avoid manual errors and allows for one-click verification of sick leave compensation for multiple employees.
