Instead of complex algorithms, the tool uses pseudo-random sequences to generate unique number pairs within your limits, ensuring every worksheet is different. Primary Example: With the settings above, the tool randomly generates 30 number pairs between 10 and 100. For instance, "47 ○ 63". The system calculates 47 < 63 in the background. If answers are enabled, a "<" appears at the end of the line. On an A4 sheet with 2 columns, 30 questions fill exactly one page with comfortable spacing, leaving room for students to write the symbol. Export to PDF for crisp, watermark-free printing.
Alternative Example (Decimals & Narrow Range): To practice decimal comparisons, change "Min Number" to 2.5, "Max Number" to 3.0, and set "Decimal Places" to 2. The system samples between 2.50 and 3.00, generating questions like "2.73 ○ 2.69". If you request 50 questions, the tool will warn that the range is too narrow and suggest expanding it or increasing decimal places. Adjusting the max to 4.0 resolves this. The preview arranges questions in 1 or 2 columns, with the answer key showing the correct greater-than or less-than signs.
Interpreting Results: These worksheets are practice materials, not graded tests. The "Answer Key" on the right is strictly for self-checking. If accuracy falls below 70%, the student may need more practice with place value alignment or rounding; try lowering the range or disabling decimals. If accuracy consistently exceeds 90%, gradually increase decimal places or enable equal signs to raise the difficulty. Export to Word or PNG for easy classroom distribution or error log organization.

Each generation uses a fresh random seed, making identical worksheets highly unlikely in quick succession. However, requesting a very large number of questions (e.g., 200) within an extremely narrow range may result in a few duplicate pairs due to mathematical probability. We recommend widening the range or generating in smaller batches.
A narrow range combined with high decimal precision limits the available combinations. For example, between 1.1 and 1.2 with two decimal places, only 10 unique pairs exist. The tool checks available combinations and will prompt you to adjust if the pool is too small. Simply increase the max value to 1.5 or reduce the decimal places to restore variety.
Exports use standard document templates. Older Office versions or custom fonts may cause line spacing shifts. We recommend keeping the default font in export settings or using the PDF print option instead. A4 and A5 templates include standard margins and will align correctly when printed directly.
Currently, the tool supports only integers and decimal numbers. Fraction comparisons require common denominators and simplification rules, which are too complex for the current generator. For fraction practice, convert fractions to decimals first or use dedicated textbook workbooks.

All processing happens locally in your browser. Names, classes, and other inputs are stored only in your device's memory and are cleared when you close the tab—nothing is uploaded to any server. If your printer resolution is low (under 300 DPI), fine lines in exported PNGs may appear slightly blurry; we recommend using the PDF export for optimal clarity. Some download features may not work on very outdated browsers, so please use a modern browser updated within the last five years. Questions are generated randomly and do not follow specific textbook chapter sequences. Please select and adapt them according to your actual teaching progress.
