Select a listed photo preset or enter a custom width and height, then choose one of the available background colors for that preset. The tool generates an image preview that you can download as a PNG. Optional controls allow adjustment of settings such as DPI, target file size, face proportion, face position, and space above the head.
A preset name is a convenient starting point, not proof that the resulting image meets a government or application requirement. In the United States, visa and passport photo instructions are separate. For example, the Department of State specifies a 600 × 600 pixel digital image for visa submissions, while paper passport photos are 2 × 2 inches. Both sets of rules include criteria beyond dimensions.

Open the advanced controls only when you have a specific target for DPI, file size, face ratio or position, or top margin. Generate the image, inspect the preview, and download the PNG.
Before starting, keep the receiving organization’s instructions nearby so you can compare the downloaded image with its required dimensions, format, background, composition, and file limit.
