A typical South Korean road name address, such as "Seoul Special City Gangnam-gu 테헤란로152," consists of a metropolitan city/province, district, road name, and building number, followed by a 5-digit postal code. In 2014, South Korea fully adopted a new address system (도로명주소) based on road names and building numbers, replacing the traditional land-lot based system. The new addresses are much easier to use for global positioning and navigation, and all government agencies and major map services now use them as the standard. Our generator follows these exact rules, randomly combining metropolitan cities/provinces, districts/counties, road names, building numbers, and detailed unit numbers to create perfectly formatted South Korean addresses. This is ideal for scenarios where you need a Korean address but don't want to expose your real information.
Let's look at an actual output:
Province/City: Seoul Special City
District/County: Gangnam-gu
Road Address: 테헤란로152
Detailed Unit: 미래에셋타워15층1501호
Postal Code: 06236
Here, "Seoul Special City" is the metropolitan-level administrative division, "Gangnam-gu" is the lower-level district, and "테헤란로" is the road name, followed immediately by "152," which is the building number. Together, these form the core of the road name address. The following "미래에셋타워15층1501호" is supplementary information, meaning Mirae Asset Tower, 15th Floor, Room 1501. The final 5-digit number "06236" is the postal code assigned by Korea Post, corresponding to a specific area in Gangnam-gu. This structure fully complies with official South Korean address formatting, though the building number and detailed unit are randomly combined and do not correspond to a real property.
Click "Generate" again, and you might see a result like this:
Province/City: Busan Metropolitan City
District/County: Haeundae-gu
Road Address: 해운대로76번길 55
Detailed Unit: 해운대두산위브제네시스 101동 801호
Postal Code: 48094
Compared to the Seoul example, in addition to a different metropolitan city and district, the road address now includes a branch street like "76번길" (76th Street), and the detailed unit has changed to a format common
