When you need to quickly verify the authentic origin or configuration of hundreds of Apple devices, traditional manual lookups are inefficient and prone to errors. By parsing the OUI (Organizationally Unique Identifier) prefix in a MAC address, this tool bulk-outputs key data including the device manufacturer, model name, production date, and origin. A MAC address is a unique hardware identifier assigned to each device by Apple, with its first three bytes encoding the vendor's registration information.
Do MAC addresses require a specific separator?
No. The tool automatically recognizes three formats: 00:1A:2B, 00-1A-2B, and 001A2B. There is no need for a uniform separator.
Is the vendor information in the lookup results updated in real-time?
The data source is updated quarterly based on the official IEEE OUI database, though new device models may experience a 1-3 month delay. Production date data is derived from Apple's supply chain decoding logic, not a real-time API connection.
The maximum limit for a single query is 500 MAC addresses. The production date in the results is accurate to the week, not a specific day. Enterprise users with sensitive data are advised to use an API integration. MAC addresses containing special characters may fail to parse.
The first 3 bytes of a MAC address (e.g., "A0:98:ED") correspond to the vendor's registration code, which can be verified for ownership through the IEEE SA database. Typical example: Parsing the MAC address "D8:CB:8A:12:34:56" reveals the vendor as Apple Inc., the device model as MacBookPro15,2, and the production code as C07 (assembled in Zhengzhou, China).
