Understand what the tool solves, how it works, and the boundaries of its data.
Choose a target date and, if useful, add a short event label. The result compares that target with today and shows how many calendar dates separate them. A future date is labeled as days remaining, a past date as days passed, and a target that is today is identified as today. The result also displays the target’s Gregorian date, weekday, and a Chinese lunar date.
This is a date-to-today countdown, not a live timer. It does not ask for a target time, calculate hours or minutes, track seconds, count business days, or compare two arbitrary dates. The optional event name changes the label on the result card; it does not affect the date calculation.
The calculation uses calendar-day difference, ignoring the time of day. For example, if today is September 28 and the selected target is October 1, the gap is 3 days: September 29, September 30, and October 1. If the target is today, the day gap is zero and the result uses a Today label rather than counting today as an extra day.
Past dates use the same absolute day gap with a “days passed” label. The weekday and lunar date are additional descriptions of the chosen target, not alternate countdown totals. A lunar calendar date is a traditional lunisolar date representation; use the calendar picker’s lunar option to select one when that is more familiar for the event.
