Automatically calculates the time remaining until National Day. Get real-time updates on days, hours, minutes, and seconds to help you plan your vacation.
The National Day of the People's Republic of China is celebrated every year on October 1. It commemorates the formal establishment of the People's Republic of China on October 1, 1949.
The PRC was founded on September 21, 1949, with a ceremony celebrating the forming of the Central People's Government taking place in Tiananmen Square on October 1 that year. The first public parade of the new People's Liberation Army took place there, following the address by the country's first Chairman, Mao Zedong, officially declaring the formal establishment of the Republic.
Overview
Understand what the tool solves, how it works, and the boundaries of its data.
This countdown is for the National Day of the People’s Republic of China, observed on October 1 each year. The English-language government information page records October 1 as the annual date. The countdown uses that month and day and shows the time remaining in days, hours, minutes and seconds.
By default, the target is the next October 1 in the device’s local time: before the date it counts toward October 1 of the current year; after it passes, it advances to the next year. On October 1 itself, the page switches to an event-day state. A year selector lets you view a chosen anniversary year, and the displayed calendar date pairs that anniversary with the annual October 1 date.
You can export the selected date as a calendar event for your own calendar app. The countdown provides a date reference; it does not supply an event schedule or the adjusted work and holiday calendar for a particular year.
Guide
Follow the workflow and verify inputs and outputs with practical examples.
The default view points to the next annual October 1 and updates the days, hours, minutes and seconds on the page.
Use the year controls to move to another anniversary. Check both the anniversary number and its calendar date so you know which October 1 is selected.
Use the calendar control to create an event for the selected date, then review the resulting entry in your calendar app and set any reminder there.
The date and countdown use the device’s local clock. If you are coordinating with someone in another time zone, compare the calendar date in both locations.
Use cases
See how the tool fits into real work and everyday tasks.
Teachers can check the annual October 1 date and export a calendar entry for a lesson plan, then add their own location-specific timing and context.
Organizers can use the selected anniversary date as a planning anchor and share a calendar entry with participants, confirming the event’s actual local start time separately.
Readers outside China can see the next date and compare the local calendar day across time zones when arranging a message, program or personal reminder.
Q&A
Find concise answers to common questions and confusing cases.
No. It targets October 1 as the named observance date. It does not provide the year-specific public-holiday period, adjusted workdays or travel schedule.
In the default mode, the next annual occurrence is selected. Once October 1 has passed on the device’s clock, the following year becomes the next target.
The component uses the device’s local date and time. Near midnight, users in different time zones can therefore see different dates or remaining-time values.
Notes
Review scope, result limitations, and important precautions before use.
The countdown identifies an annual calendar date. It does not confirm a ceremony, parade, venue, broadcast or event start time.
