Each DNS entry corresponds to a resolution service node of a specific university or research institution. CERNET users can configure these IPs to achieve faster, localized domain resolution.
Are CERNET DNS servers universally applicable?
No. They are only suitable for the CERNET network environment. Non-CERNET users may experience resolution failures if they use them.
How can I verify the validity of a DNS server?
We recommend using the dig command to test response speeds or contacting your institution's network center for real-time status. While this database is updated periodically, changes in the network environment may cause individual nodes to become invalid.
