Are color casts making your videos look unnatural? This tool uses the HSL color model to adjust video chroma parameters in real-time, including hue (-180° to +180°), saturation (0.0x to 3.0x), and chroma gain (0.5 to 2.0), outputting optimized videos that look natural to the human eye. Chroma refers to the color attributes related to hue and saturation, distinct from brightness (Luma), and is a core dimension of YUV/YCbCr video encoding.
How do I fix a yellowish tint in old videos?
Adjust the hue to +12°, saturation to 1.15x, green channel to +8, and blue channel to -5 for noticeable improvement.
Will adjusting the chroma reduce video quality?
We use hardware-accelerated single-pass transcoding. The Constant Rate Factor (CRF) mode maximizes quality retention, with the default CRF=23 perfectly balancing file size and visual quality.
Standard H.264/H.265 encoding is recommended for input videos. Setting the hue beyond ±150° may cause color clipping. Mobile users require Safari on iOS 16+ or Chrome 110+ on Android.
Typical color grading example: For dull videos shot on cloudy days, increasing saturation to 1.3x-1.5x and tweaking the hue by +5° can significantly enhance the look. Be careful to avoid oversaturating skin tones (we recommend keeping them between 1.0x and 1.2x).
