When you need to accurately separate a portrait from a cluttered background but dread the tedious manual editing process, our AI tool automatically detects and extracts the human subject, outputting a transparent PNG image. Portrait background removal is an image segmentation task in computer vision. By utilizing deep learning models to identify pixel-level portrait edges, even fine details like hair are clearly preserved.
Q: What image formats are supported?
A: We currently support JPG and PNG formats. The maximum file size is 5MB.
Q: How does the tool handle group photos?
A: The tool can detect multiple human bounding boxes and return position data, but the output will be a single cutout containing everyone. If you need to extract individuals separately, we recommend cropping the image and processing them one by one.
For the best results, ensure there is a clear color contrast between the portrait and the background. Scaling ratios above 2.0 may cause distortion. Users are responsible for the privacy of the original images uploaded.
For creating e-commerce assets or ID photos, we recommend using front-facing half-body shots with simple backgrounds. Set the output size to 500×500px while maintaining the aspect ratio to quickly get standard transparent assets. Typical example: Inputting a 1.5MB JPG lifestyle photo with a scale ratio of 0.8 outputs a 612×408px transparent PNG with natural edge transitions.
