This tool uses a lunar calendar algorithm to automatically locate the Gregorian date corresponding to the 7th day of the 7th lunar month each year, calculating the exact days remaining from your current system time. The Qixi Festival (also known as the Qiqiao Festival) is a traditional Chinese holiday celebrating the annual meeting of the cowherd and weaver girl. Our tool uses a Gregorian-to-Lunar conversion model to output highly accurate countdown results.
Q: Do I need to manually update the countdown results?
A: The tool updates automatically in real-time, but please ensure your device's system time is accurate.
Q: Can it calculate Qixi dates for past years?
A: This tool is primarily designed for future countdowns. For historical dates, please use the year-switching feature.
Lunar date calculations may have slight regional variations; our results are based on the standard lunar calendar used in mainland China. Batch processing and historical data retrieval must be done by manually switching the year.
For event planners, we recommend verifying dates in advance due to the nature of lunar algorithms: the Qixi Festival falls on August 10 in 2024, and August 28 in 2025. You can use the year-switching feature to confirm date mappings for different years and avoid time discrepancies caused by cross-timezone devices.
