When sensitive information such as faces or license plates in a video needs to be hidden, this tool uses area recognition and pixel transformation algorithms to apply Gaussian blur or pixelation to specified areas while maintaining the original video's frame rate. A video blur unit refers to the smallest rectangular area being processed. You can select multiple independent areas simultaneously and apply different blur effects to each.
Will blurring the video reduce the overall image quality?
No, only the pixels within the blurred area are modified. The rest of the video retains its original quality.
How do I track and blur moving objects? In the current version, you need to manually adjust the area position frame by frame. It works best for static objects. For dynamic objects, we recommend splitting the video into shorter segments for processing.
We recommend keeping videos under 5 minutes for a single processing session. Always back up sensitive content locally first. Leave a 10-pixel safety margin around the edges of the blurred area.
For blurring ID numbers, we recommend using the pixelate mode with a block size of ≤8px. For blurring faces, Gaussian blur at 70% intensity is recommended. Typical example: For a 200x200 pixel area in a 1080p video, the output PSNR value of that area will be ≤25dB.
