Conversely, you can also input a solar calendar date, select a school/sect, to obtain the corresponding Eight Characters. The school/sect option affects how the Zi hour is handled.
How to Use
- Eight Characters to Solar Calendar: Select the "Eight Characters to Solar Calendar" tab, and enter the Year Pillar, Month Pillar, Day Pillar, Hour Pillar, and the starting year respectively.
- Eight Characters to Solar Calendar: The Year Pillar, Month Pillar, Day Pillar, and Hour Pillar must be a combination of Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches, for example, "丁丑" (Ding Chou), "癸卯" (Gui Mao). The starting year must be a number, for example, 1900.
- Eight Characters to Solar Calendar: Select the appropriate school/sect, the default is "Late Zi Hour Day Pillar counts as current day".
- Solar Calendar to Eight Characters: Select the "Solar Calendar to Eight Characters" tab, and select or enter the solar calendar date and time.
